Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Gardening Supervisor to lead a dedicated crew in maintaining and enhancing our green spaces. In this permanent, on-site role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of gardening operations, from planning and scheduling to active participation in daily tasks. Your leadership will ensure that all gardening work is performed to a high standard, creating and preserving beautiful, healthy landscapes.
• Position: Gardening Supervisor (Permanent).
• Work Model: Full-time, In-person.
• Core Purpose: To plan, supervise, and participate in all gardening activities to ensure exceptional maintenance of lawns, turf, and plant life.
• Team Role: Lead, schedule, and work alongside a gardening crew.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee the daily operations of the gardening team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to quality specifications. Your role combines supervisory duties with active field work.
• Plan, schedule, assign, and supervise the daily work of the gardening crew.
• Direct and participate in core gardening tasks including mowing, edging, watering, raking, fertilizing, spraying, and weeding of lawns and turf.
• Oversee and assist in the planting, pruning, shaping, trimming, staking, and cultivating of plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Manage transplanting, systematic watering, and the application of treatments to ensure plant health.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with substantial practical gardening experience and a strong work ethic. The ability to manage a team while performing physical tasks is essential.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of total work experience in gardening or landscaping, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of horticultural practices, plant care, and gardening techniques.
• Leadership: Ability to effectively plan, assign work, and supervise a small team.
• Physical Requirement: Must be physically fit to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Logistics: Must reliably commute or be willing to relocate to Pune, Maharashtra before starting work.
