Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Baker to join our team at our Cakes and Desserts outlet near Charni Road (Opera House). This is a hands-on, full-time contractual role where you will be the key person in charge of daily production, ensuring our cakes and desserts are both delicious and beautifully presented. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking, meticulous with hygiene, and capable of managing the complete production cycle for the outlet. The contract length is for 12-24 months.
In this role, your primary focus will be on creating quality products and maintaining an efficient workspace. Your core responsibilities will include:
• Taking full charge of the daily production, baking, and artistic decoration of cakes and desserts.
• Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety are maintained at all times.
• Managing inventory by maintaining stock levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
• Organizing the kitchen workspace, monitoring equipment, and minimizing wastage.
Skill Requirement
We need a self-motivated individual with proven baking experience and a keen eye for detail. Reliability and the ability to work independently are crucial. A passion for the craft of baking and decoration is essential, along with a strong sense of responsibility for the outlet’s daily output.
The essential qualifications and attributes for this position are:
• Must reside close to Charni Road (Opera House) and be able to commute using private transport (e.g., bike, cycle, scooter) without relying on public transport.
• Minimum 1 year of professional baking experience, specifically with cakes and desserts.
• A diploma in Bakery or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work during the Night Shift as required.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining stock, cleanliness, and production schedules.
