Job Description
V.K. Lalco Group is seeking a qualified Architect to join our team in Borivali, Mumbai. In this full-time role, you will be pivotal in navigating the project lifecycle from initial design to statutory approval. Your core responsibility will be to plan and design residential and SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) projects in strict compliance with current Development Control Regulations (DCR) and SRA guidelines. You will act as the key liaison with municipal and government authorities, driving the timely acquisition of all necessary statutory approvals for various building types.
You will provide critical inputs on local laws during the planning phase to ensure designs are regulation-compliant from the outset. The role requires extensive coordination, both internally with project architects and in-house engineers, and externally with consultants and approving authorities. Regular site and authority visits are essential to expedite approvals and ensure project alignment with legal and design intent.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and design projects as per current DCR & SRA guidelines.
• Secure statutory approvals for all building types from relevant authorities.
• Provide expert inputs on local government laws during the project planning and design phase.
• Coordinate and visit approving authorities regularly to drive timely approvals.
• Collaborate with Project Architects, in-house engineers, and external consultants.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a regulatory expert with a strong technical foundation in municipal drawing and approval processes. You must possess in-depth knowledge of Mumbai’s DCR, SRA policies, and local building laws. Excellent communication and coordination skills are essential to effectively interface with multiple stakeholders and government bodies.
We require a candidate with a proven track record in managing approval workflows. A relevant educational background and mandatory experience with municipal drawings and submissions are critical for success in this fast-paced role.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Proficiency in Drafting, CAD, and AutoCAD (required).
• In-depth knowledge of DCR, SRA guidelines, and local municipal regulations.
• Minimum 3 years of total work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of specific experience in Municipal Drawing and approval processes.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (required).
Education & Other Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Architecture (Diploma preferred).
• Ability to work in person at our Borivali, Mumbai location.

• Pay: ₹25,000 – ₹80,000 per month
