Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate academic leader to join our Jewellery Design department. This role is ideal for a dynamic educator who can either lead the department as HOD or support its academic functions. You will be responsible for curriculum planning, teaching, mentoring, and integrating evolving industry trends and technologies into the learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support the Jewellery Design department in academic planning and daily operations.
Develop and implement curriculum frameworks that align with industry standards and educational goals.
Deliver lectures, guide practical projects, and mentor students in jewellery design concepts and techniques.
Conduct assessments, evaluations, and maintain comprehensive academic documentation.
Integrate contemporary design trends, digital tools, and emerging technologies into the curriculum.
Supervise faculty development initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning (applicable for HOD role).
Encourage and guide students to participate in national and international design competitions and projects.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate possesses strong academic leadership abilities combined with a genuine passion for teaching and innovation. You should have excellent communication skills and stay updated with evolving design technologies. Experience in jewellery design education or industry practice is essential.
Academic Leadership: Proven ability to lead a department, mentor faculty, and drive curriculum development.
Teaching & Mentoring: Passion for nurturing young designers through effective instruction, feedback, and project guidance.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for classroom delivery, documentation, and stakeholder interaction.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of jewellery design processes, materials, and market trends.
Technology Integration: Familiarity with design software (e.g., CAD, Rhino, Matrix) and emerging digital fabrication technologies.
