Job Description
As a Critical Care & General Medicine Specialist, you will provide comprehensive medical care across intensive care, emergency response, and inpatient/outpatient settings. Your primary focus will be the management of critically ill patients, ensuring the highest standards of evidence-based treatment and seamless recovery.
• Attend all ICU emergencies and manage critical cases including acute respiratory distress and ventilator-dependent patients.
• Perform essential ICU and emergency procedures as required.
• Conduct thorough pre-operative fitness evaluations for surgical patients in coordination with anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Monitor post-operative recovery, ensuring stability and protocol-based management for fast, safe patient progress.
• Execute daily IPD rounds, make treatment decisions, and provide OPD consultations and follow-ups.
You will also be responsible for developing and implementing clinical protocols to maintain exceptional care standards. This includes admitting and managing General Medicine and Chest Medicine cases while ensuring multidisciplinary coordination for optimal patient outcomes.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a dynamic physician with specialized training in critical care and internal or chest medicine, capable of excelling in high-pressure environments. Strong diagnostic skills, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and excellent teamwork are essential for this role.
• Mandatory: MBBS degree with valid MMC registration.
• Preferred: MD/DNB in General Medicine or Chest Medicine/Pulmonology.
• Highly desirable: Additional qualifications such as IDCCM, IFCCM, or a Fellowship in Critical Care.
• Prior experience in ICU, Respiratory Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine is preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong abilities in patient management, diagnosis, and handling medical emergencies.
• Possess good communication skills for effective coordination with multispecialty teams.
