Kalakti Arts is looking for a creative Print Designer to join our design family. You will be responsible for creating original, trend-forward print designs for home furnishings, textiles, and lifestyle products, blending storytelling with vibrant color and pattern. This role combines artistic vision with technical execution to produce market-ready designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Create original, trend-responsive print designs for home furnishings and textiles.
Develop patterns, motifs, and layouts using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
(Bonus) Use Procreate for hand-drawn digital illustrations and concept sketches.
Ensure designs are scalable, repeatable, and suitable for production.
Collaborate with the team and clients to refine ideas and meet project briefs.
Manage design files and maintain organized project folders.
Stay updated on textile trends, printing techniques, and market preferences.
Skill Requirement
We are seeking a passionate designer with strong technical skills in print creation, a deep understanding of color and layout, and the ability to work both creatively and efficiently within deadlines.
Required Competencies:
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (pattern creation, file handling).
Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator (vector artwork, repeat layouts).
(Preferred) Experience with Procreate for digital hand-drawn illustration.
Solid understanding of color theory, scale, and textile layout.
Creative mindset with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills for team and client collaboration.
(Bonus) Knowledge of fabric printing techniques and textile trends.
