Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Coordinator to join our HR team. This role acts as the essential link between the HR and IT departments, ensuring seamless coordination for employee technology needs. The coordinator is pivotal in facilitating a smooth onboarding experience by managing IT requirements for new hires post-HR confirmation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the IT team for timely allocation and setup of IT assets like laptops, desktops, software, and peripherals for new hires.
• Maintain an accurate and current inventory of all IT assets assigned to employees across the organisation.
• Ensure proper tracking and retrieval of IT assets during the employee offboarding process.
• Coordinate with IT to set up necessary systems, software, and network access for new employees before their joining date.
• Ensure assessment tools, training platforms, and other IT resources are available for candidate evaluations and HR-led training programmes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between HR and IT for all related requirements and issue resolution.
• Escalate and diligently follow up on IT issues concerning new hires, assessments, and training sessions.
• Maintain detailed records of IT asset allocation, returns, and setup processes for onboarding and training.
• Generate regular reports on IT asset usage and requirements for HR and IT management review.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical coordination and interpersonal skills to bridge HR and IT functions effectively. They must be highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while ensuring strict compliance with IT policies and security protocols.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT coordination, HR support, or a similar role.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively between different teams.
• Strong organisational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of IT asset management and employee onboarding processes.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in IT asset tracking and software licence management.
• Working knowledge of HR processes related to onboarding and training.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems.
