Job Description
As a Commissioning Engineer within the Electrification Business Area, you will report directly to the Technical Team Leader. You will be integral to the success of our Distribution Solutions Division, responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of critical electrical systems. Your role involves executing and overseeing a comprehensive range of testing and commissioning activities for diverse projects, including new installations and upgrades in Industries, Power Plants, and Infrastructure. You will lead troubleshooting efforts and apply deep technical expertise to deliver reliable and efficient project outcomes.
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Performing on-site and in-house testing and commissioning of electrical systems and panels.
• Troubleshooting complex issues across various types of electrical panels and protection systems.
• Programming and parameterizing SIEMENS/ABB protection relays for optimal system performance.
• Independently managing switchgear sites, including medium and low voltage installations, retrofits, and upgrades.
• Executing a wide array of specialized tests, including primary/secondary injection, insulation resistance, transformer testing, and cable fault locating.
• Utilizing advanced testing equipment such as OMICRON or DOBLE Relay Test Sets to validate system protection.
• Ensuring all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within scheduled timelines by working with a dedicated team of engineers and supervisors.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in a hands-on environment and possesses authoritative technical knowledge. Excellent communication is essential to influence stakeholders and coordinate effectively both on-site and with internal teams.
Mandatory requirements and skills for this position include:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven, strong experience in the programming and parameterization of SIEMENS/ABB protection relays.
• Hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, and retrofitting of electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle and manage medium and low voltage switchgear sites.
• Proficiency in conducting the full spectrum of electrical tests listed, including HV/LV system testing and relay calibration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence decisions.
• Experience with specialized relay testing equipment (e.g., OMICRON, DOBLE) is highly advantageous.
