Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D AOI Operator to join our quality assurance team within our PCB assembly division. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our advanced 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems to ensure the highest standards of product quality. You will play a critical role in defect detection, process feedback, and data reporting, directly contributing to improved manufacturing yields and product reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and manage the 3D AOI machine, including setting up and running inspection programs for various PCB assemblies.
• Thoroughly inspect PCBs for critical defects including missing/misaligned components, solder bridges, insufficient/excess solder, tombstoning, lifted leads, and polarity issues.
• Coordinate closely with SMT, QC, and Process Engineering teams to report defects and support root-cause analysis for continuous process improvement.
• Maintain accurate inspection logs, generate detailed defect reports, and track yield data.
• Perform daily machine checks, routine maintenance, and calibration to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a technically proficient professional with hands-on experience in SMT assembly and AOI operation. You must possess a strong understanding of PCB defects, an analytical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Diploma, ITI, or Engineering in Electronics or a relevant technical field.
• 2–3 years of proven hands-on experience as a 3D AOI Operator in a PCB assembly/SMT environment.
• Practical experience with SMT line processes and AOI programming.
• Ability to read and interpret PCB drawings, BOMs, and component datasheets.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and classify soldering and component defects.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with inspection software and MS Excel for reporting.
