Job Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Script Adaptation & Creative Translator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for more than direct translation; you will innovate and enhance scripts by adapting them for cultural relevance and audience engagement. You will collaborate closely with content creators to ensure the final script maintains the original intent while improving storytelling impact through creative improvements and localized nuance.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate scripts accurately while preserving tone, emotion, and core meaning.
Adapt scripts to align with local culture, audience preferences, and specific platform requirements.
Suggest creative changes and improvements to enhance narrative flow, engagement, and impact.
Rewrite or modify dialogues, scenes, and narration as needed to strengthen the script.
Collaborate with writers, directors, and content teams to refine and finalize scripts.
Ensure high language quality, grammatical accuracy, and consistency throughout.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all scripts and content.
Manage workload to meet deadlines and adhere to content guidelines.
Skill Requirement
We are seeking a linguistically skilled professional with a flair for creative writing and a deep understanding of storytelling and cultural adaptation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in both the source and target languages (written and spoken).
Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills.
Ability to think innovatively and contribute original ideas to enhance scripts.
Good understanding of screenplay/script structure.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong command of grammar.
Ability to accept feedback and revise content constructively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in scriptwriting, screenplay adaptation, or content writing.
Familiarity with OTT platforms, web series, short dramas, or digital content trends.
Knowledge of cultural nuances and audience psychology.
Prior experience in creative adaptation or localization projects.
