Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and organized Librarian to join our school for the academic session 2026-27. The primary responsibility is to manage the school library and conduct library classes for students from Grades I to X, ensuring alignment with the CBSE curriculum planner. The librarian will be the custodian of all library resources and foster a love for reading and research among students.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting structured library classes and reading sessions for students from Grade I to Grade X as per the CBSE framework.
• Managing the complete library ecosystem, including book issuance, returns, cataloging, and inventory management.
• Maintaining all essential library registers and records with accuracy and up-to-date information.
• Curating and updating library resources to support the academic and co-curricular needs of students and staff.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a library science qualification and a passion for educational enrichment. This role requires strict adherence to the location criteria and a commitment to maintaining an efficient, welcoming library environment.
Requirements:
• Education: A Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib) or Master of Library Science (M.Lib) is mandatory. A general Bachelor’s degree is preferred additionally.
• Eligibility: Applications are invited only from candidates currently residing in the PCMC area. Candidates from outside Maharashtra or outside Pune city will not be considered.
• Experience: Preferred 1 year of experience in a library, teaching, or lesson plan development role.
• Language: Proficiency in English is preferred for effective communication and resource management.
