Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sports Project Manager to develop and lead a local sports initiative. This versatile role, open to full-time, part-time, and internship candidates, focuses on making sports accessible while managing the commercial performance of a dedicated sports territory. You will build a community, curate the product range, and act as the key link between sports users and the brand.
• Your primary mission is to build and execute a Local Sports Project (LSP) that increases sports accessibility and engagement within your assigned catchment area.
• You will be accountable for the Omni business performance of the sport, including merchandising, stock management, piloting new initiatives, and managing the territory’s P&L, margin, and shrinkage.
• A core part of the role involves community building and direct engagement—interacting with sports users, gathering feedback, and organizing events and workshops to foster a vibrant local sports community.
• You will also handle strategic planning and analysis, including catchment analysis for product selection, budgeting, forecasting, and recruiting future Sports Advisors with the department manager.

The ideal candidate is a commercially savvy sports enthusiast with strong project management and community engagement skills. You must be analytical, proactive, and genuinely passionate about sports, with the ability to translate user feedback into business strategy.
• Core Responsibilities: Experience in project management, community building, and retail operations (merchandising, stock, P&L) is highly valued.
• Analytical & Strategic Skills: Ability to conduct catchment analysis, work with budgeting and forecasting, and drive economic performance through data-informed decisions.
• Interpersonal & Mediation Skills: Excellent skills in stakeholder interaction, mediation between users and brand teams, and recruiting/training staff. Must be an active sports practitioner, playing a sport at least once weekly.
• Operational Skills: Proficiency in planning and updating schedules for events, workshops, and overall operations.
