Kayana is a fast-growing global technology company empowering small and medium-sized businesses with innovative ordering and payment solutions. We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Android Developer to join our team in Mumbai. This full-time, in-person role requires a proactive professional who is passionate about building high-quality apps and contributing to a dynamic, international brand.
• Your primary responsibility will be to build and automate robust Android applications, focusing on performance, security, and a seamless user experience.
• You will be engaged in bug fixing, code optimisation, and ensuring all security protocols are strictly followed throughout the development lifecycle.
• A key part of your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, QA, and UX/UI designers, to ensure system functionality and a polished end product.
• You will take ownership of your work, providing feedback to improve processes and contributing to the team’s growth within a culture that promotes from within.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a skilled Android developer with strong technical expertise and a solution-oriented mindset. You must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to grow into leadership roles while working on global products.
• Technical Expertise: 3+ years of Android development experience is required. Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Flutter is essential.
• Core Development Skills: Deep understanding of Android SDK, UI/UX design principles, RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Tools & Practices: Proficient with Git for version control and familiar with continuous integration. Knowledge of libraries like Retrofit, Glide/Picasso, Firebase, and Job Scheduler is a plus.
• Logistics & Mindset: Must be able to commute to our Andheri East, Mumbai office 5 days a week. Working hours are 11:00–20:00 IST, Monday–Friday. We prefer candidates with a 30-day notice period or immediate availability. A proactive, independent, and improvement-driven attitude is crucial.
