Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our food industry team in Panvel, Maharashtra. This role is pivotal in safeguarding food safety, quality, and shelf-life by conducting critical microbial analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting product development. You will be involved in pathogen detection, quality control, process validation, and environmental monitoring to prevent contamination and enhance product integrity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Conducting pathogen detection tests to identify harmful bacteria, viruses, and fungi in food products.
• Performing quality control analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
• Validating critical processing parameters (heat, pH, water activity) to ensure product safety.
• Supporting the development of new food products, particularly fermented items like yogurt and cheese.
• Monitoring production environments for microbial contamination risks.
• Ensuring strict compliance with food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, FDA).
• Contributing to research and innovation in microbial detection and food preservation techniques.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Microbiology with a strong understanding of food safety principles, laboratory techniques, and regulatory frameworks. You should be meticulous, analytical, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and quality in food production.
We require the following qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related field (Required).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in microbiology, preferably within the food or FMCG industry. Freshers may also be considered.
• Knowledge of microbial testing methods, food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA), and quality control processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory and production environment.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and following standard operating procedures.
