Job Description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage our procurement activities and support general office administration. This full-time, permanent role based in Wadala, Mumbai, requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, vendor management, and contract coordination. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, tracking orders, and handling various administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
Your core responsibilities will cover end-to-end procurement and office administration. Key duties include:
• Researching and identifying potential vendors, comparing offers, and selecting reliable suppliers.
• Releasing purchase orders, negotiating contract terms, pricing, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintaining accurate internal databases with order details, delivery status, and invoices.
• Preparing purchase reports and conducting cost analyses to support decision-making.
• Managing AMC contracts for office equipment (AC, EPABX, CCTV, IT components, internet services).
• Coordinating courier services for sample dispatches and handling related invoicing.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and possesses strong negotiation and communication skills. You should be comfortable with vendor interactions, data management, and multitasking in a structured office environment.
Must-have qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or office administration role.
• Proficiency in English for communication and documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare vendors and evaluate costs.
• Familiarity with purchase order processes, contract management, and record-keeping.
Preferred experience:
• Experience in managing AMCs for office infrastructure and IT equipment.
• Knowledge of courier coordination and basic invoicing.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
