Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations in a dynamic environment. This full-time, in-person role is central to maintaining our financial health and requires strong process discipline. You will be responsible for executing all core accounting activities using Zoho Books as the primary tool, supported by Tally and Excel/Google Sheets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution across all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and maintain all accounting entries accurately in Zoho Books (Primary), Tally, and spreadsheets.
• Process and document vendor and consultant invoices, and manage accounts payable.
• Generate customer sales invoices, receipts, and e-invoices using the accounting software.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations by updating and matching statements.
• Handle entries and reconciliations for payment gateway settlements.
• Provide support for payroll processing, salary calculations, and related accounting.
• Prepare basic management reports (MIS), manage accruals, and maintain working sheets.
• Assist in statutory compliance filings for GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Professional Tax.
• Ensure systematic filing, data accuracy, and integrity across all financial systems.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a practical and execution-focused professional with 3-5 years of solid accounting experience, particularly in a startup or fast-paced setting. You should be proficient with key accounting software, possess a strong grasp of compliance fundamentals, and thrive on maintaining organized and accurate financial records.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Mandatory working knowledge of Zoho Books and/or Tally.
• 3-5 years of relevant, practical accounting experience.
• Foundational knowledge of GST, TDS, and payroll accounting processes.
• High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data management and analysis.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Excellent coordination skills to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
