Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Mid-Level Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing essential accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a solid foundation in accounting principles and experience in maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced.
Compliance & Taxation: Assist in the preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting & Analysis: Support the budgeting process and provide variance analysis to help in financial planning and decision-making.
Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency within the finance function.
Skill Requirement
We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work independently. The ideal professional should be reliable, ethical, and capable of handling confidential financial information with discretion.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) is a plus.
Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience in an accounting role, with exposure to bookkeeping, financial reporting, and taxation.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and general financial compliance.
Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
