Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University (CSMU), a UGC-recognized institution in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, is seeking distinguished academics for the position of Professor within our Computer Science Department. We are looking for accomplished scholars specializing in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, AI & Robotics, or Cyber Security to join our faculty. This full-time, in-person role is central to our mission of fostering academic excellence and pioneering research. The successful candidate will lead in teaching, mentor the next generation of innovators, and drive forward the department’s research agenda and curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality instruction for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in your area of specialization (AI/ML, Data Science, etc.).
• Guide and supervise student research projects, dissertations, Ph.D. scholars, and innovative capstone projects.
• Conduct and publish original research in reputable, high-impact journals and conferences.
• Actively contribute to curriculum design, development of new programs, and fostering industry-academia partnerships.
• Provide academic leadership within the department and support accreditation and strategic development activities.

Required Qualifications:
• A Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
• A Master’s degree (M.Tech/MCA) in Computer Science, IT, AI, Data Science, or a related specialization.
• A strong record of academic research and publications in relevant fields.
• Significant teaching and research experience at the university level.
Preferred Experience:
• A proven track record of guiding Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate research projects.
• Experience in curriculum development and establishing industry collaborations.
• Leadership experience in academic settings or professional bodies.
