Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Garment Merchandiser to join our team in Andheri West. This role is central to managing the complete lifecycle of woven shirt orders, from initial development through to final shipment. You will act as the crucial link between our internal production teams and external buyers, ensuring seamless communication and timely execution. A pro-active approach and a strong sense of responsibility are essential to drive organizational growth and meet our quality and delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end merchandising for woven shirts, from fabric sourcing to final goods dispatch.
• Handle internal communication with production/quality teams and external coordination with buyers.
• Oversee the sampling process, prepare internal order sheets, and manage accessories/trims in-housing.
• Prepare purchase orders and secure approvals on critical components like lab dips.
• Take responsibility for pre-shipment inspections and provide guidance to production and quality departments.
• Give shipping instructions, follow up on shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
• Independently handle order capacity and demonstrate strong team-leading capabilities.
• Perform detailed production planning and take continuous follow-ups across all stages.

Skill Requirement

The ideal candidate is a seasoned merchandising professional with comprehensive knowledge of the garment manufacturing cycle. You must possess strong managerial skills, the ability to lead a team, and a detail-oriented mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and a willingness to extend working hours as needed are fundamental to this role.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of total work experience in garment merchandising, specifically with woven shirts.
• Full-cycle knowledge of garment manufacturing, from fabric sourcing to dispatch.
• Proven experience in team leading and independently handling buyer orders.
• Strong skills in production planning, coordination, and follow-up.
• Proficiency in sampling, preparing order sheets, purchase orders, and managing approvals.
• Experience in conducting inspections and managing shipping documentation.
• Fluent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Work Conditions:
• This is a full-time, permanent position based in Andheri West, Mumbai.
• Standard shift timing is 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with readiness to extend hours as required.
• The offered salary ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 per month, inclusive of benefits such as Health Insurance.
