Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dialysis Technician to join our clinical team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of hemodialysis equipment and the direct care of patients undergoing treatment. You will perform the full spectrum of dialysis procedures, from patient preparation and machine setup to post-treatment evaluation and emergency response, ensuring the highest standards of clinical safety and patient comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect patient charts, assess vitals, and conduct pre- and post-dialysis evaluations.
• Set up, assemble, and manage dialysis machines and the extracorporeal circuit.
• Prepare patients, evaluate access sites for cannulation, and connect/disconnect patients from the dialysis machine.
• Monitor technical and clinical vitals throughout the treatment and record all procedural details.
• Operate, maintain, and disinfect the delivery system, water treatment plant, and reprocess dialyzers.
• Respond promptly and effectively to dialysis-related emergencies.
• Follow strict infection control policies, biomedical waste disposal protocols, and quality assurance measures.
• Perform monthly inventory checks and maintain stock levels in assigned areas.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Diploma in Dialysis Technician (DDT) or B.Sc. in Dialysis.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a dialysis unit.
• Proficiency in all aspects of dialysis machine operation, patient care, and emergency procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of infection control, biomedical waste management, and quality assurance protocols.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries with patients.
• Strong dedication to professionalism, empathy, and effective teamwork.
• Maturity and a diplomatic approach to patient care and colleague collaboration.
