Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and creative DTP Operator to join our publishing and design team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, print-ready layouts and designs for educational materials, including textbooks, infographics, and academic documents. You will utilize your expertise in desktop publishing to transform manuscripts and raw content into visually engaging, professionally formatted publications that adhere to strict style and technical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transform manuscripts from MS Word or PDF into professional page layouts using Adobe InDesign.
• Design and create educational infographics, headers, footers, and textbook features tailored for children’s academic content.
• Ensure 100% adherence to project style guides and technical specifications for all designs and layouts.
• Execute precise corrections in InDesign files based on feedback provided in annotated PDFs.
• Finalize and prepare book files to be print-ready, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
• Design templates for certificates, modules, and various educational documents.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign and a keen eye for educational design. You must have experience in DTP for print, the ability to follow style guides rigorously, and a passion for creating clean, engaging, and technically accurate layouts for academic publishing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a DTP Operator, preferably in educational or academic publishing.
• Expertise in Adobe InDesign for page layout and formatting.
• Strong skills in designing infographics and template-based documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to strictly follow style guides.
• Experience in executing corrections and preparing files for print production.
• A portfolio showcasing educational or textbook design work is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.
