Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Billing Engineer to oversee and manage all billing and quantity surveying activities for our interior projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial documentation, from site measurement and bill preparation to client certification and final reconciliation. You will serve as a crucial link between the site, project management, and accounts teams, ensuring all billing processes are timely, compliant, and transparent.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, verify, and submit Running Account (RA) bills, final bills, and variation bills for interior works.
• Conduct on-site measurements and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), abstracts, and billing statements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure timely certification and approval of all bills.
• Track project progress against billing milestones to ensure accurate and timely invoice submission.
• Maintain organized records of all billing documents, drawings, approvals, variation orders, and supporting paperwork.
• Manage variation orders, extra work items, and deductions in accordance with contract terms.
• Assist in cost control efforts by reconciling materials, labor, and other project expenses.
• Ensure all billing activities comply with contractual terms, project drawings, and specifications.
• Support the accounts team by providing accurate billing details and necessary documentation.
Skill Requirement
We are looking for a qualified Civil Engineer with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in billing and quantity surveying, specifically within the interior fit-out or turnkey project sector. The ideal candidate will be proficient in measurement standards, BOQ preparation, and essential software, with strong coordination and communication abilities.
Requirements:
• Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of proven experience in billing, quantity surveying, or contract management.
• Prior experience in interior fit-out or turnkey projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of measurement techniques, BOQ formats, and industry billing standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic AutoCAD for drawing review and quantity take-off.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation capabilities.
