Job Description
Job Purpose: To handle end-to-end design and merchandising activities for export orders, from trend research to shipment, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery commitments are met.
In this role, you will be the creative and operational link between international buyers and production. You will convert design concepts into commercial products, managing the entire process from a buyer’s brief to the final shipment.
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Researching global fashion trends and creating seasonal collections, sketches, and tech packs for buyer approval.
• Coordinating closely with international buyers on all design, pricing, and order requirements.
• Managing order execution by preparing cost sheets, tracking status, and ensuring timely sample submissions.
• Liaising with fabric suppliers, factories, and internal teams (production, QC) to resolve issues and maintain schedules.
• Ensuring all products meet buyer quality standards, specifications, and compliance regulations.
Skill Requirement
We seek a detail-oriented and creative professional with foundational knowledge in garment export processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The required skills and qualifications are:
• A degree or diploma in Fashion Design or Apparel Merchandising.
• 0-2 years of experience in a garments export house (woven).
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and export merchandising.
• Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDraw.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Commercial understanding of costing, margins, and ability to handle multiple buyers/styles.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience handling international buyers (US, UK, EU, Middle East).
• Knowledge of woven, women’s wear, or kids wear categories and full production cycles.
