Join The Black Shepherd, an intimate 26-seat restaurant in Bandra, as a Guest Service Associate. In this unique role, you are not just a server, but a storyteller and the face of our authentic British dining experience. You will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and guide guests through our menu with genuine enthusiasm, ensuring every visit is memorable and true to our culinary philosophy.
Act as a menu storyteller, expertly describing our British-centric dishes, including the unique preparation of items like triple-cooked chips and the heritage behind our Shepherd’s Pie.
Provide attentive, intimate service in our small dining room, focusing on detail, anticipation of guest needs, and discreet table management.
Serve and confidently recommend from our curated beverage list, including specialty teas and signature bottomless hot chocolate.
Ensure operational excellence by maintaining pristine dining areas and effectively resetting the restaurant between services.
Serve as a crucial link between guests and the kitchen, providing specific and constructive feedback on flavor profiles and the dining experience to Chef Rahul Kotak.
Skill Requirement
We are looking for a warm, articulate, and polished individual with a passion for hospitality and storytelling. Previous fine dining or bistro experience is preferred, but a genuine enthusiasm for creating connections and representing our brand’s cozy, refined vibe is essential.
Mandatory Requirements:
Fluency in English with excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Bandra, Mumbai.
Preferred: Prior experience in a fine dining, bistro, or high-end café environment. Familiarity with continental/European cuisine is a plus.
Warm, outgoing personality with a professional and well-groomed appearance.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including break shifts (morning and evening) and extended hours on weekends.
A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to a close-knit, respectful work culture.
