Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a medium-sized manufacturing company. This senior role requires you to independently manage the accounts and finance department, including financial reporting, system management, administration, and strategic improvements. You will also interact with banks, ensure compliance with commercial and tax laws, and prepare MIS for management analysis. The ideal candidate will have served as the number two or three in the accounts department of a reputable manufacturing firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage all facets of accounting and finance.
Prepare and analyse MIS reports and financial statements.
Ensure compliance with taxation and commercial regulations.
Handle banking relationships and statutory requirements.
Oversee accounting systems, processes, and continuous improvements.
Work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and occasionally travel on short notice.
Skill Requirement
Candidates must be a Chartered Accountant or possess equivalent senior-level experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong legal, banking, and taxation knowledge is essential, along with leadership and strategic reporting capabilities.
Required Competencies:
CA qualification or equivalent senior accounting experience in manufacturing.
Proven experience managing the full finance function independently.
Sound knowledge of commercial laws, taxation, and banking procedures.
Proficiency in MIS preparation, financial analysis, and system management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
Ability to deliver within timelines, manage pressure, and travel occasionally.
Basic computer proficiency in MS Office and email communication.
