Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of international shipments, ensuring smooth and compliant cross-border movement of goods. Your core duties include preparing and verifying all necessary import/export documentation, coordinating with multiple external partners, and ensuring strict adherence to customs and trade regulations. A key part of your role is to proactively track shipments and resolve any logistical delays or discrepancies efficiently.

• Manage end-to-end import and export documentation, including Bills of Entry, Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and agents for the timely clearance and movement of goods.
• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, DGFT policies, and international trade laws.
• Proactively track shipments and coordinate with internal warehouse and logistics teams for smooth deliveries.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates and optimal transit options with shipping companies and service providers.

In addition to operational coordination, you will handle critical financial documentation and maintain meticulous records. Your role also involves staying updated on regulatory changes and assisting in vendor management to optimize supply chain costs and performance.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of all international transactions, duties, tariffs, and shipping documents.
• Handle financial processes related to foreign trade, including Letters of Credit and coordination with banks.
• Resolve logistical issues, delays, and shipment discrepancies promptly and effectively.
• Stay informed of changes in import/export laws, trade agreements, and compliance requirements.
• Assist in vendor and supplier management to support cost optimization and reliable service.

Skill Requirement

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of international trade procedures and documentation. The ideal candidate is an excellent coordinator, possesses sharp analytical skills, and has experience in customs clearance and logistics.

• Proven experience in import/export operations, customs clearance, and international logistics.
• In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, EXIM policy, and trade compliance.
• Proficiency in preparing and managing key shipping and financial documents (Bill of Lading, BOE, LC, etc.).
• Strong coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders including freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities to handle logistical challenges and cost optimization.
• Ability to stay updated on dynamic trade laws and regulatory changes.

A solid understanding of financial aspects of foreign trade and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

• Good understanding of foreign exchange procedures and banking documentation for international trade.
