Job Description
We are Raj Dakhhani Restaurant in Panch Pakhadi, Thane, and we are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our culinary operations, responsible for crafting authentic and delicious Indian dishes that delight our guests.
Your primary mission will be to oversee the daily functioning of the kitchen. This includes preparing a wide range of authentic Indian cuisine, designing menus, managing inventory and food costs, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, taste, and hygiene. You will also provide guidance and leadership to junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a hands-on leader with a deep love for Indian culinary traditions and a commitment to excellence.
Skill Requirement
We are looking for a dedicated culinary professional with proven experience in Indian kitchens and a comprehensive skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare authentic Indian dishes with expertise in regional cuisines, spices, and traditional cooking techniques.
Design, plan, and cost out menus, contributing creative ideas for new dishes and specials.
Manage all kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to maintain cost-effectiveness.
Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
Lead, train, and supervise junior kitchen staff, coordinating tasks for smooth service.
Maintain consistency in the taste, quality, and presentation of all food items.
Manage specific kitchen stations, which may include the Tandoor or South Indian specialty sections.
