Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Interior Design Faculty member to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction across the interior design curriculum, mentoring students, and contributing to the department’s academic growth. This role combines teaching excellence with professional insight to prepare students for successful design careers.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Academic Delivery:
• Plan and deliver lectures, studio sessions, and workshops in core subjects including Interior Design Principles, Space Planning, Materials & Finishes, Furniture Design, and Lighting & Color Theory.
• Develop comprehensive course outlines, lesson plans, and teaching materials aligned with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
• Ensure academic rigor and contemporary relevance in all instructional content.
Assessment & Evaluation:
• Design, conduct, and evaluate assessments, including design juries, projects, assignments, and examinations.
• Provide constructive and structured feedback to students to foster their academic and creative growth.
• Maintain accurate and timely academic records in compliance with institutional policies.
Skill Requirement
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional experience in interior design practice is required.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education or a design institute is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong foundational knowledge of interior design principles, methodologies, and contemporary practices.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver structured, outcome-based education effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High proficiency in design software and technical documentation.
• Strong organizational, mentoring, and professional ethics.
