Educational Qualification
For Constable (UB):
- Higher Secondary (HS) or Class XII passed from Government recognized Board or Council.
For Constable (AB):
- HSLC or Class X passed from Government recognized Board or Council.
Applicants having educational qualification of Higher Secondary and above may apply for both Armed Branch and Unarmed Branch with clear preference indication.
Essential Requirements
- Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.

Step 1: Registration
Register on the SLPRB portal at www.slprbassam.in with a valid mobile number. (Register only once for all advertisements).
Step 2: Fill Application Form
Login using Application ID/Mobile Number and Date of Birth. Apply for Advertisement (SLPRB/REC/CONST (AB & UB)/727/2025/94). Fill in all personal, academic, and preference details carefully.
Step 3: Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of required documents: Photograph (max 450 KB), Signature (max 100 KB), Age Proof, Mark sheets, Employment Exchange Card, Caste Certificate (if applicable), and any quota benefit certificates.
Step 4: Review & Finalize
Generate OTP, download the Acknowledgement Slip, and keep it safe along with the Application ID for future reference.
Edit Option: Available for 5 days after the last date (only once, subject to SLPRB approval).

ЁЯОп Selection Process
- Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 40/60 marks
- Stage 2: Medical Examination
- Stage 3: Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying
- Stage 4: Written Test – 50 marks (100 MCQs, 0.5 each, no negative marking)
- Stage 5: Oral/Viva-Voce – 5 marks
- Academic Weightage: 5 marks (Only for Constable UB)
