Job Description

Amicus Lex & Associates, a full-service law firm in Mumbai, is seeking a motivated Junior Advocate to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a strong foundational career in real estate, regulatory, and litigation practice. You will work closely with senior lawyers and partners, gaining hands-on experience in due diligence, documentation, and dispute resolution. This is a full-time position ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to develop expertise in property law and contribute to complex legal transactions and cases.

Key Responsibilities:
• Real Estate Transactions: Assist in comprehensive title due diligence, review documents (deeds, agreements, records), and prepare due diligence reports. Draft and vet agreements for sale, development agreements, leave & license agreements, and other transactional documents.
• Redevelopment & Society Matters: Support redevelopment projects by managing documentation, coordinating with housing societies and developers, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Litigation Support: Assist in real estate litigation before Civil Courts, High Court, and RERA. Draft pleadings, applications, and affidavits. Attend court hearings, conduct legal research, and prepare case briefs.
• Research & Advisory: Perform in-depth legal research on property laws, RERA, stamp duty, and related regulations. Assist in drafting legal opinions and stay updated on new legal developments.
• Client & Office Coordination: Support senior lawyers in client meetings, coordinate with external agencies and consultants, and maintain organized case files and trackers.

Skill Requirement

We are looking for a diligent, proactive, and ethically sound advocate with a keen interest in real estate law. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, an excellent researcher, and possesses the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with precision.

Eligibility & Qualifications:
• Education & Registration: Must hold an LL.B. degree from a recognized university and be registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
• Experience: 2–4 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) is preferred. Freshers with substantial internship experience in real estate or litigation may also be considered.
• Technical Skills: Strong legal drafting and research skills are essential. Familiarity with real estate documentation, court procedures, and due diligence processes is highly advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments, and a professional, client-focused approach.
• Language: Proficiency in Marathi is preferred for effective client interaction and document review.
