Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Pattern Master specializing in both Denim and Non-Denim garments for our Production/Design department based in Vasai East. Reporting to the Production Head, you will be a critical technical expert responsible for developing precise on-screen patterns using WINDA CAD software. Your deep understanding of fit, fabric behavior, and shrinkage—especially in denim—will ensure the accuracy of samples and the efficiency of bulk production for a wide range of tops and bottoms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop accurate on-screen patterns for denim and non-denim garments (tops & bottoms) using WINDA CAD software.
• Translate design sketches and technical packs into production-ready base patterns, graded size sets, and markers.
• Apply and control shrinkage allowances in patterns based on specific fabric characteristics and targeted wash effects.
• Conduct fit trials, analyze fit issues, and implement precise pattern corrections.
• Provide technical support to sampling and bulk production teams to resolve pattern-related issues.
• Maintain organized records of all patterns, grading sheets, and size charts.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Merchandising, QA, and Production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a technical expert with extensive hands-on experience in pattern making for both woven and knit categories. You must possess a strong analytical mind for fit and a detailed understanding of how fabrics, especially denim, behave through the washing and finishing processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology, Garment Technology, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a Pattern Master in the garment industry.
• Expert-level proficiency in WINDA CAD software for on-screen pattern making is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in pattern making for both tops (shirts, t-shirts, jackets) and bottoms (jeans, trousers, skirts).
• In-depth knowledge of denim and non-denim garment construction, fit, and grading.
• Critical understanding of denim shrinkage, wash effects, and how to incorporate shrinkage allowances during pattern development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to support sampling and bulk production efficiently.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively across multiple teams.
