Job Description
This role is for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team, responsible for the accurate and safe collection of blood specimens. The professional will perform venipuncture, ensure proper sample handling, and deliver exceptional patient care throughout the process. The position requires travel across Pune for field visits, making reliable transportation a key component of daily duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform venipuncture and capillary draws using sterile techniques and standard safety protocols.
• Ensure accurate patient identification, proper labeling, and meticulous documentation for all collected samples.
• Handle, prepare, and transport specimens to the laboratory following strict preservation and chain-of-custody guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area and equipment at all times.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and ensuring their comfort during the collection process.
• Accurately update electronic patient records and sample tracking systems.
• Coordinate effectively with lab staff, clinicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
Skill Requirement
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented professional with proven experience in phlebotomy. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical skills, excellent patient rapport, and the logistical capability to manage field visits independently. Adherence to safety standards and precise documentation are critical for success in this role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1–2 years of professional phlebotomy or clinical lab experience.
• Diploma or certification in Phlebotomy or Clinical Lab Techniques is preferred.
• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and comprehensive knowledge of specimen handling protocols.
• Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accurate documentation and labeling.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and record management is an advantage.
• Must be based in Pune and possess a personal two-wheeler with a valid driver’s license for field travel.
