Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Lab Chemist/Analyst to join our quality and testing laboratory. The role involves comprehensive testing and analysis of construction chemical products—including waterproofing materials, epoxy systems, coatings, sealants, and repair mortars—in compliance with ASTM, IS, and EN standards. You will operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment, develop test methods, ensure quality assurance, and uphold ISO/IEC 17011 management system protocols.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Conducting product testing and analysis for construction chemicals as per ASTM, IS, and EN standards.
• Operating and maintaining lab instruments: Brookfield Viscometer, UTM, Gloss Meter, Taber Abraser, QUV Weather Tester, Pull-off Adhesion, Impact Tester, Vicat Apparatus, etc.
• Preparing samples, analyzing product performance, and ensuring accurate test results.
• Designing and validating new analytical methods for research and quality control needs.
• Interpreting analytical data, performing statistical analysis, and preparing detailed technical reports.
• Implementing and documenting ISO/IEC 17011 management system requirements.
• Serving as Convener of the Corrective, Preventive Action and Improvement Committee (CPAIC).
• Conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of construction chemicals, excellent hands-on laboratory skills, and experience with quality systems. You should be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining precise documentation while adhering to strict testing protocols.
We require the following qualifications and skills:
• Experience in a construction chemical lab, paint industry, or related testing environment.
• Proficiency in handling and maintaining laboratory instruments for physical and chemical testing.
• Strong understanding of ASTM, IS, and EN standards for construction products.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17011 management systems, internal auditing, and quality documentation.
• Expertise in data analysis, report writing, and method development.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
