Tilak Education Society, a reputed Malayalee Linguistic Minority institution with a 40-year legacy of running schools and colleges in Navi Mumbai and Thane, is seeking an experienced and highly organized professional for the pivotal role of Registrar & Office Administrator. This senior position is responsible for the comprehensive administrative and academic governance of our Mumbai University-affiliated colleges.
You will be the cornerstone of institutional compliance and record-keeping, overseeing critical functions from admissions to examinations. Your role involves strategic liaison with regulatory bodies like the University, UGC, and State Education Department, ensuring adherence to all statutory and accreditation standards (NAAC, IQAC, NIRF). This position demands leadership, deep regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with principals, department heads, faculty, and administrative staff.
Skill Requirement
We are looking for a candidate with substantial experience in higher education administration, a master’s degree, and proven expertise in managing university protocols and procedures.
Mandatory Eligibility & Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Assistant Registrar and/or Office Administrator in a Mumbai University-affiliated college.
Sound, practical knowledge of university statutes, examination rules, and educational regulations.
Preference for candidates with experience in college or university administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain all academic records and statutory institutional documentation.
Supervise and streamline processes for admissions, student enrolment, examinations, and certification.
Act as the primary liaison with the affiliating university, UGC, State Education Department, and other regulatory bodies.
Ensure full compliance with NAAC, IQAC, NIRF, and other accreditation frameworks.
Coordinate effectively with the Principal, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Administrators, HODs, faculty, and clerical staff.
Additional Requirements:
Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Hindi, Marathi, or Malayalam is preferred.
Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.
