Job Description
This role is responsible for the comprehensive management and documentation of all site store activities. The Store In-Charge ensures the smooth flow of materials and machinery, maintaining meticulous records to support project efficiency and accountability. Key duties include tracking inventory, coordinating maintenance, and upholding strict safety and storage protocols.
• Maintain detailed records for all machinery, including receipt, issuance, site availability, and authorized in/out times.
• Keep accurate maintenance and safety records for tools, machinery, and equipment, coordinating timely repairs.
• Manage material stock records using Excel, ensuring precise entries and regular reconciliation.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of construction materials to prevent damage or loss.
• Prepare and file daily, weekly, and monthly store reports, waste material records, and staff attendance.
• Coordinate closely with site engineers, supervisors, procurement, and purchase departments for material flow and requirements.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of store operations in a construction environment. Effectiveness in this role requires proficiency in standard office software and the ability to coordinate seamlessly between multiple site teams and external vendors.
• Knowledge of civil construction materials, machinery, and basic safety standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and MS-CIT for data management and reporting.
• Strong record-keeping, documentation, and material handling skills.
• Good communication and inter-departmental coordination abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and effectively under site pressure.
• Ability to follow company procedures and support audits and inspections.
