Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Society Manager to oversee the comprehensive financial, administrative, and compliance functions of our housing society in Andheri. This is a full-time, on-site role that involves managing day-to-day operations, member communications, vendor payments, and statutory obligations to ensure the society runs smoothly and efficiently.

• Your primary responsibility is the end-to-end financial management of the society, including preparing and issuing bills to members, processing outgoing payments to various authorities, and managing all banking activities such as cheque deposits.
• You will ensure strict statutory compliance by maintaining critical registers, deducting and depositing TDS, preparing for audits, and submitting required reports to the Deputy Registrar’s office.
• A key part of your role involves member relations and administrative support, which includes addressing complaints, drafting correspondence, organising meetings (AGM), and preparing minutes and annual reports.
• You will act as the main liaison with external agencies such as security, utility providers (BSES, BMC), auditors, and contractors, while also supervising maintenance activities for plumbing, electrical systems, and other major repairs.

Skill Requirement

The ideal candidate is a meticulous and proactive professional with extensive experience in housing society management, accounts, and administrative coordination. You must possess strong organisational skills, a thorough understanding of statutory requirements, and excellent communication abilities.

• Core Experience: Minimum 3 years of specific experience as a Society Manager is preferred, along with 5 years of general work experience and 3 years of accounts experience.
• Financial & Statutory Expertise: Proficiency in accounts management, TDS compliance, bank reconciliation, and maintaining statutory registers (Share Register, Form I/J, Sinking Fund, etc.) is essential.
• Administrative & Liaison Skills: Strong abilities in preparing AGM notices, minutes, annual reports, audit rectification, and liaising with government bodies, vendors, and members.
• Operational Management: Experience in handling member complaints, overseeing maintenance work, verifying transfer/lease documents, and managing petty cash.
