Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Java Developer to join our team to build, maintain, and enhance our ERP applications built on Openbravo 3.0. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing robust back-end services and ensuring the seamless operation of our business-critical systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into functional, high-quality software, emphasizing sophisticated design, problem-solving, and a commitment to product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop our existing Openbravo 3.0 ERP system built on open-source technologies.
Translate application storyboards and use cases into reliable, functional applications.
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and high-performance Java code.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues.
Develop or modify existing reports within the ERP system.
Uphold high standards of code quality, organization, and automation.
Participate actively in collaborative problem-solving and design discussions.
Skill Requirement
Technical Expertise Required:
Strong proficiency in Core Java and its ecosystems with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP).
Experience with J2EE concepts, Servlets, JDBC, Hibernate, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of SOAP & API development and various design/architectural patterns.
Experience with report-writing tools like JasperReports and iReport.
Profound understanding of Java internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management).
Proficiency with code versioning tools, specifically Git, and familiarity with continuous integration.
Ability to create and manage database schemas; knowledge of Relational Databases and PostgreSQL is preferred.
Familiarity with the Apache Tomcat server.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of Python, PHP, and PL/SQL.
Hands-on experience with Openbravo ERP or similar open-source ERP platforms.
Sun Certified Java Developer certification is a significant advantage.
