Job Description
We are urgently hiring an experienced Store Keeper to be based at our Khopoli location, reporting to the Store Manager. This is a key permanent role responsible for managing all inventory and supplies crucial for our marine operations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in store management within a relevant industry, ensuring the seamless receipt, storage, and issuance of marine equipment and spare parts. This position demands a high level of organization, accuracy, and proactive coordination to prevent operational disruptions.
Your core responsibilities will encompass the full scope of inventory and warehouse management:
• Inventory Management: Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials. Maintaining accurate electronic and manual records, conducting regular stock checks, and reporting discrepancies.
• Issuing Supplies: Distributing materials to authorized personnel with proper documentation and monitoring consumption to trigger timely reordering.
• Storage & Organization: Organizing storage areas for safety and efficiency, ensuring cleanliness, and implementing correct storage methods for various items, including hazardous materials.
• Stock Control & Reporting: Preparing replenishment requisitions, managing stock rotation (FIFO), and generating regular reports on stock levels and valuation.
• Documentation & Coordination: Ensuring all receipts, issuances, and returns are documented accurately. Coordinating closely with procurement, maintenance, and operations teams for smooth workflow.
Skill Requirement
We seek a highly organized professional with proven experience in storekeeping, preferably within the marine, shipping, or a heavy equipment industry. Attention to detail, physical fitness for handling materials, and strong communication skills are essential. Candidates residing near Harbour Line stations (e.g., Panvel, Kharghar) will be given first preference due to the location.
The essential qualifications and attributes for this position are:
• Education: Graduate with a Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Warehouse, or Inventory Management.
• Experience: Minimum 4-6 years in store management or a related field, with a strong background in inventory control and warehouse operations.
• Location: Must be able to commute to Khopoli. Residence near Harbour Line stations is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software, strong organizational abilities, and knowledge of marine equipment/materials is an advantage.
• Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and moving heavy items as required.
