Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Materials Storekeeper to manage on-site material logistics and inventory control. The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient handling, storage, and documentation of all construction materials to support daily site operations and prevent project delays.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify quality/quantity of incoming materials against purchase orders.
Safely store and organize materials to prevent damage or loss.
Maintain accurate physical and digital stock registers and manage inventory levels.
Issue materials to site personnel as required and monitor stock to inform procurement.
Prepare daily/weekly stock reports and maintain all material receipt/issue documentation.
Coordinate closely with site engineers, procurement, logistics, and accounts departments.
Ensure all storage and handling complies with company safety and security protocols.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate must be highly organized, proactive, and possess strong record-keeping abilities.
Required Competencies:
Proven experience in material management, inventory control, or storekeeping in a construction/industrial setting.
Proficiency in maintaining digital and physical stock records and preparing reports.
Strong coordination skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to following safety and compliance standards.
Basic knowledge of procurement and invoice coordination is preferred.
