Job Description
Hurix Digital is seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in SQL Server for a focused, remote Flag Remediation Project. This freelance contract role involves providing expert review and solutions for a course on relational database design and advanced querying. You will be the key technical authority, analyzing and resolving flagged issues related to database modeling, schema design, and complex SQL queries. Each task is designed to be concise, requiring approximately 30-35 minutes of expert analysis and clear solution documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and correct technical issues related to database design, schema structure, normalization, and Entity-Relationship (ER) modeling logic.
• Analyze, debug, and fix complex SQL queries involving advanced concepts like joins, subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and aggregate functions.
• Validate and ensure the application of best practices in Data Definition Language (DDL), constraints, and basic indexing.
• Provide clear, written explanations for technical solutions to support course accuracy and learner comprehension.
• Troubleshoot advanced querying issues, ensuring all solutions are derived from expert knowledge without the use of AI tools.
Skill Requirement
We are looking for an expert with deep, practical experience in SQL Server database architecture and advanced T-SQL querying. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can independently analyze technical content and provide accurate, pedagogically sound solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
• 4–5 years of hands-on professional experience in relational database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Expertise in relational database design principles, including normalization (1NF, 2NF, 3NF, BCNF) and schema optimization.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL querying, with proven ability to write and optimize complex queries using joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
• Strong practical knowledge of DDL, constraints (PK, FK, Check, Unique), and basic indexing concepts.
• Excellent written communication skills in English to articulate technical solutions clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently on a freelance/contract basis and deliver accurate solutions within defined timeframes.
Preferred Skills:
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Pay: ₹600.00 – ₹700.00 per hour
