Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Supervisor to lead our Receiving and Dispatch management team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient stock transfer, and managing a team to meet customer requirements and performance targets. Your focus will be on optimizing workflow, maintaining process standards, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer the daily Receiving and Dispatch operations as per the customer plan, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Oversee daily stock transfer activities, including unloading/loading trucks and containers in adherence to process standards.
• Implement and ensure strict adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) systems during all warehouse operations.
• Proactively manage the team by distributing daily work based on priority and customer requirements to optimize departmental performance.
• Maintain 5S standards in all unloading/loading zones and ensure critical or top-priority parts are handled with defined urgency.
• Ensure all team members follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs), recording any process quality issues and recommending solutions.
• Manage team absenteeism within specified targets and report departmental KPIs, deviations, and corrective actions to management.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or dispatch management, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, including FIFO and FEFO.
• Experience in managing unloading/loading operations for trucks and containers.
• Demonstrated ability in team management, work distribution, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in implementing and maintaining 5S standards and ensuring SOP/WI compliance.
• Ability to analyze operational KPIs, identify gaps, and implement effective countermeasures.
• Good problem-solving skills to address process quality issues and improve efficiency.
• Strong communication and reporting skills for effective management updates.
