Job Description
We are looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our team, dedicated to producing high-quality content for our YouTube channel and podcast. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire post-production process, transforming raw footage and audio into engaging, polished videos that captivate our audience and align with our brand’s vision. You will play a crucial part in storytelling, helping to grow our digital presence through visually compelling and technically sound content.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Editing raw video and audio footage for YouTube videos and podcast episodes to create seamless, engaging final products.
• Incorporating graphics, animations, sound effects, and music to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
• Ensuring all content maintains high technical standards for video and audio quality, color grading, and pacing.
• Collaborating with the content creation team to understand project goals, narrative structure, and creative direction.
• Optimizing videos for various platforms, focusing on YouTube’s best practices for SEO, retention, and audience growth.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and a consistent publishing schedule.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a proficient video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital content creation, particularly for YouTube and podcasts. You should have a keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and stay updated with the latest editing trends and techniques.
We require:
• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio/reel demonstrating your work on YouTube, podcasts, or similar digital content.
• High proficiency in professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).
• Strong understanding of color correction, audio mixing, motion graphics (e.g., using Adobe After Effects), and visual storytelling principles.
• Knowledge of YouTube platform specifics, including aspect ratios, thumbnails, end screens, and strategies to boost viewer retention.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• A creative and collaborative mindset, with strong communication skills to effectively give and receive feedback.
