🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
For All Groups (A, B, C, D):
- A degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
- Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Bengali (exempted for Nepali mother tongue candidates).
- Bengali knowledge will be tested for non-Bengali/Nepali candidates during the Personality Test. Poor performance may lead to cancellation of candidature.
Special Conditions for Certain Services
- West Bengal Police Service (Group B): Minimum height 1.65 m for males and 1.50 m for females (relaxations for certain communities).
- Assistant Canal Revenue Officer: Work in remote areas, travel via cycles, and attend Tahsil and Zilla Offices.
- West Bengal Junior Social Welfare Service: Specific training required for teaching the blind or deaf/dumb.
- West Bengal Subordinate Land Revenue Service, Grade I: Good knowledge of Bengali required; six-month in-service training mandatory.

🎯 Selection Process
- Written Examination:
- Preliminary Exam: Objective MCQs; marks not counted for final selection; serves as screening.
- Main Exam: Objective & Conventional; candidates must qualify from Preliminary Exam.
- Personality Test: Conducted for all groups at WBPSC Kolkata. Final merit prepared based on Main Exam + Personality Test scores.
Qualifying Marks (Aggregate):
- UR/EWS: 40%, OBC-A/B: 38%, SC: 35%, ST: 30%, PwBD: 30%, Meritorious Sportspersons: 40%
